Wednesday Night RE

(For students not enrolled in STA School)

Parish children in grades K - 6 enroll in these sessions. Age appropriate grade level religious education gives children a solid foundation for a lifelong practice of the Catholic Faith. Catechists prepare and present the lesson each week and assign homework. Their training includes both content and methodology and is always in conformity with the teachings Church's Magisterium.

  • Kindergarten students use "Stories of God Love" from RCL Benziger. Weekly take home pages help parents discuss each week's lesson with their child.
  • Parents work with children (in grades 1 - 4) to complete the homework assignments in the Faith and Life books provided and help children memorize important material. Click here for an overview of the Faith and Life curriculum.
  • Fifth and sixth grade students study to gain a deeper understanding of Salvation History and their place in God's plan. Catechists develop presentations based on Scripture and the Catechism and offer activities to help students grow in prayer and incorporate the knowledge of their faith into everyday life.
